As promised we have firmed up a date for our Ann Arbor Guitars open house which will be Saturday, March 29th 2014 from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM.

It should be a very fun time with lots of meet and greet, a pizza lunch, and perhaps even some live music performed by one of our team (not me..... relax.... :? :D ).

We don't have a lot of space in that our shop is a very busy "working shop" in the epicenter of an even busier retail district in the heart of Ann Arbor. But we are thinking that we have enough space for folks to get together and have some fun.

To help me plan the thing my request to you if you would like to attend is to PM me with your email address so that I may send everyone in advance of the event directions, parking recommendations, and more. If you are staying overnight in the A2 area we can recommend hotels too.

So if you are interested in attending and seeing what a four decade old Lutherie shop in a historic building looks like please indicate your interest in this thread and PM me too with your email address so that we may send you further information as the event date approaches.

Many thanks and we look forward to meeting lots of new friends and seeing lots of old friends too! [:Y:]

Interesting. A mere $350 in gas round trip, and 2 hotel stays at roughly $80 each. 32 hours of driving.

I've done crazier things, I'll admit.

I may have a completed instrument to wow the masses with by then.

Not saying for sure....

Much as I'd love to Hesh, I need to wash my hair... Oh and I don't have a Visa... Or an airfare :-)

Which one? :D Hope you are doing well my friend Sebastiaan! I'm still using the very cool Blackwood pen that you sent me years ago so here is another thanks for that too!

Padma airfare this much in advance can't be much and we would love to have ya if you wanted to come - You are always invited and have a standing invitation, sitting too.... :D

TGW I just figured out that my car would do it for approx. $171 so you must be driving a gas hog.... :? :D We would love to meet you too if you can make it. Ann Arbor has all kinds of cool stuff such as the largest football stadium (American football) in the US, the University of Michigan and all that comes along with this....., heck we even have a medical marajuana dispensary across the street from our shop, the federal court house next door.... (go figure...) and much more. Lots of folks come to Ann Arbor as tourists and if anyone wants to bring a spouse or significant other the city is well known for a rich cultural experience including great shopping, art, you know all that People's Republic of Ann Arbor kind of stuff.... :D If you are real careful you don't have to get any on ya either.... laughing6-hehe :?

Thanks Fred it will be great to catch up with ya!

Bob I'm looking forward to meeting you and I think that we have enough Macs in the shop that we could play some Call of Duty... :D Or load linux on one of them... :)

Thanks for responding guys and it should be a very fun time.

Who else would like to attend?

Put me on the list Hesh. I will do the PM thingie too. I would also like to extend an invite to those traveling from the south or west. I am about 2.5 hours west of Ann Arbor and could take in a couple travelers that want to break up the trip I could then drive you from my home/shop to Ann Arbor.

Very cool Kevin and we look forward to meeting you!

Joe you are family and it was great seeing you and Mike last week!!!

To anyone considering Joe's generous offer to let folks ride with him. I took a 12 hour road trip, to RC Tonewoods and back, with Joe about 5 years ago and the time just flew by! Joe has no bad habits that I know of.... :D is an excellent conversationalist, and one hell of a great guy! [:Y:]

This should be a very fun day!

Speaking of that Hesh, I think it's about time for another road trip to Uncle Bob's wonderful world of wood don't you?

Yeah been a while since I have seen Uncle Bob and family and the last time was a really good time. I was trying to get Bob to come see us this past summer when we discovered that we had a couple hundred sets of mahogany and EIRW that Herb David wanted to sell.

Very cool Lance and it will be great to see you!

I think that we might be able to fit one horse up there but two may be a problem.... :D

I've got your email so you are now on the distribution list for updates.

Hi Max!! It will be great to see you too and catch up a bit. I believe that you have been to Spain at least once since we last did our OLF lunches. Looking forward to hearing about it and feel free to bring one of your beautiful guitars too!

Hey there, Hesh! It shows how much I check in here lately that I only now realized that you are back on the OLF. Missed you and your lively spirit. Congrats on the new venture (March 2013 +/-). I have the March 2014 date on my calendar. I will let you know if I can make it out your way closer to the date.

Cheers!
