Which is the best iPhone tuner app that you guys and gals are using? Doesn't have to be free. Thanks for the help! :D

I like Guitar Toolkit...

Tuner, chord charts, settings for different instruments and altered tunings...

Not free, but worth every penny. Metronome too...

We have a big-arse Peterson strobe unit but never use it.

Instead I use Peterson's Strobo-Soft for IPhone too and have been doing so now since it's inception which I think has been about 5 years. It's my go-to tuner and used every day on everything that I work on which builds up quickly over say a week or so.

Many, many clients have asked me about it too and I am always happy to recommend the tuner. Never had a single issue, is as accurate for most purposes as the larger, physical Peterson units, is inexpensive, and since it's an IPhone app it's always with me and always handy.

I particularly like the GUI (graphical user interface) for setting intonation and find the rolling graduations very well suited for making it easy to read.

Does the android app work as well as the Iphone one as I've read some bad reviews?

Thanks everyone for the advice. I just bought the iStrobosoft app, and for $9.99, is cheaper than the clip on that I have on my Tak. I was more interested in being able to use it for guitar setup more than everyday tuning. Thanks again!

Alex

I use a free Android app called gStrings and it works very well. I think they have it on iPhone as well.

I've been using the strobosoft app since it came out. It's the best, and since I'd been using a stand-alone peterson tuner for a while the interface was familiar.
For much improved accuracy, I use an audio interface that plugs into the device. Then electric guitars plug right in, and for acoustics I can use a cheap external piezo pickup stuck on with blue tack.

For everyday tuning I use Planet waves Tune Up, for set up I use iStroboSoft.
