First kick for the Seattle Sounders and John Gorka at the Triple Door! Both events will be great fun. In the shop I'll be gluing the braces on my latest, which is another 12-fret variation of a J-45, this time with Sitka over cherry.

On Sunday I will be watching Wales thrash England at rugby football, I hope.

Out to see a movie with friends tonight (12 Years A Slave), shop time tomorrow (hopefully complete a finish repair and glue a bridge on #2), Sunday morning is bootcamp gym, and the afternoon will use a Christmas gift certificate for a 90 min massage in a fancy spa.

Finish up the new mantle - just need touchup and caulk. Then I might be able to get some shop time. Have binding to scrape and a restored back to put on a '49 J45.

I'm building a copy of the Stew Mac neck removal jig,

testing out my newly made steam needle,


and cleaning up the mess after telexing my Champ 5F1 amp cabinets.

Actually if I'm lucky, I'll get the cleanup done.

I wish I cared enough to think of a decent comeback! If we win, I'll be pleased... If we lose... I'll say I don't care about rugby!

(Btw, love the addition of "football" there to help our American friends! [I know it is rugby football, just rare to hear, or read, it!])

Farm chores today, fencing repairs, horses, baby rabbits and puppies, makes for a full day. Tomorrow it's off to make an offer on a house and running air lines in the new shop. (Gotta have it ready to start running production Monday morning). Then more packing on Sunday.......it's gonna be a busy few days.

To be honest, I enjoyed playing it much more than I've ever enjoyed watching it. It was fun at school when my growth spurt came earlier than my peers, and I could bowl them out of my way, but I wouldn't be so keen on playing it now!

Good grief, is it another weekend again? Not having a M-F 9-5 really wreaks havoc on the significance of any particular day beyond rent day. I think I'll get a haircut then carve more necks....

Need to finish the shaping and headstock of my second electric and make parts for a virtual guitar in my solidworks class at school. Going to be busy!

I always plan on more than I get done, but at least I don't run out of stuff to do. Luthier wise I'll like to repair the finish on the top of recent build where I pulled the bridge (slightly off center) and then reglued; set up and string up this one and one other that I just finished. Get brace wood cut for next couple and cut sound holes in two tops I prepared.

Not guitar related, but a wood working project - Hope to round up some nice boards for a wood-strip kayak I've been wanting to make. I got the hull profiles attached to the strongback and painted this week, and would like to have 1 or 2 kayaks ready for this summer when the grandkids get out of school. I know there are a couple of boat builders on this forum and if you have any suggestions please PM me.

Haans, I agree with Nick, your purfling is awesome.

Working on my first commission. A friend hired me to build an OM, curly walnut b/s, Lutz top, curly maple binding. Can't say I'm making much money off of this but for the first time someone else is paying for materials.
