In cleaning out my old shop, I have come across several file cabinet drawers full of old publications: String Instrument Craftsman, from the late 1980's, ASIA's Guitarmaker magazine from somewhere around issue #14 to who knows where and GAL's American Lutherie publications from the 90's into this century (I'm looking at #93/Spring 2008 issue and #52/Winter 1997 sitting on my desk as I type this). I do not have an itemized list, and probably won't. But, all are free to a good home if the recipient pays shipping. The building/repair articles are timeless as are the features and histories of all sorts of stringed instruments. Ideally, a luthier on the west coast would want these and could make the trek to Auburn CA to pick them up in lieu of shipping. Elsewhere in the US, we'll just have to figure the cheapest freight when the whole lot is weighed.
Any takers??

Wow!

If you'd be willing to pack them into a box for shipping to Washington state I'd drive south to pick them up. I'll paypal the the shipping cost or send a certified cheque to pay for shipping if you'd prefer.

cheers, Steve

If you have the Guitarmaker issue (# 17, I think), I will gladly pay you for it.
It has an editorial about kit guitars I wrote, and I loaned it out decades ago.
Never got it back.

Also, the first 4 issues of String Instrument Craftsman has several articles I wrote about vibratos and potting pickups, and I would like to have them (they are long gone).

Thanks.
