I've been wondering about doing laminated sides for a while. I think I'm going to try it on my next build. I'd like to use hog for the inner lamination. Does anyone offer some 2nd grade sides only? I know LMI has EIR sides only available but I'd really like to use mahogany if I can find it. Any of our great sponsors offer it??

I really don't know anywhere local that sells mahogany. Anyone that could provide insight to exotic wood dealers in the mid tn area would also be appreciated. I order everything!

Thanks Filippo. Clarksville is a bit of a drive but it's possibly close enough for a drive. I'll check em out.

You might try using 1/16 veneer, for example at Constantine's. Current web site states out of stock until mid-January. There are other veneer suppliers that sell 1/16 veneer, too.

Zeke, I have several pallet loads of orphaned backs and sides. There are some really high grade Honduras mahogany sides in there. Not book matched, but for inside no worries, right? I'll sell sets of two sides for $10 plus shipping.

Got these in from Aaron Hix today. Great stuff and should work perfectly. Excellent price as well. Thanks Aaron!
