OK I'll bite...

It is more a repair tool than a builders tool but it is handy.

This is my tool for checking loose braces and getting glue into them after they are found.

It is just a .008 feeler gage put into a little offset handle that I made out of scrap wood.

I made the offset to keep my big thumbs out of the way and so I could keep the tool flat against the soundboard or the back.

Not a complete hardware find but needs a little additional work to pull the feeler gage apart and make the handle.

This is actually my second one because the first one came up missing and I never found it. My first one I made a number of years ago but it didn't have the offset handle. This one is much better and it one of the first tools I grab when inspecting a guitar.

Here is a tool made from a broken tool. Useful for gluing cracked braces and aligning cracks.

This tool can't possibly work well. I'm almost convinced because it only does one task, but it's too inexpensive. Now if you were to charge, say, $44.99 for it, then I might be convinced of its efficacy and usefulness.

My sister makes jewelry and showed me this ring clamp. It has leather padded jaws at either end. One end is narrower, to hold small parts such as rings, but you can put the wedge into it and use the wider end to give more support to larger parts, such as nuts. I like to have this handy as one of my options for holding small parts so I don't get my fingers too close to a moving sander. It would be easy to make such a clamp but they only cost about $5 from jewelry tool dealers and others, such as Amazon.
