I'm pretty sure that Stephen Boone is either Santa or one of the jolly fellow's elves. I know for sure that I have a fantastic wife. Look what I found under my tree this morning! ![]() Anyone else find a nice surprise this morning? |

My wife bought me two 1x8 x 6 foot Mesquite planks, a piece of Texas Ebony, a quilted Maple billet, a curly Maple billet, a curly Redwood billet, and a giant bottle of Titebond I. Man, she even got the right type of glue! Not bad considering today is her birthday. |

(the Boss thing, not the slippers) My daughter laughs at me for not knowing how to "text" whatever that means. I've been following your website and FB postings - very exciting things going on! Dan |

My wife also had a couple of Stephen Boone planes under the tree for me. She also had a Hock spokeshave kit for me. Some great gifts. |

I got this nifty "ToolVault" 20 gauge welded steel tool box Lime green. It houses everything that was stacked/laying around and being generally in the way. I cleaned up and reorganized the shop too. |

I actually traded two ibanez Musicians (a bass and a guitar) plus a neckthrough I made YEARS ago for it. It was brand new, just unpacked and put together. I was looking at a Kobalt from Lowe's, so I looked on Craigslist. For being the same price as a Kobalt, this thing is UNBELIEVEABLE. It's comparable to the really expensive ten grand or more toolboxes I've looked at closely in some auto shops. |

It's more intuitive than I though it'd be. dzsmith wrote: I've been following your website and FB postings - very exciting things going on! Thanks but I'm feeling lazy about getting the website together. All good things in time I guess. You all have a nice holiday season. Merry Chrinstmas! |

I understand that I too got a Fuji, though UPS hasn't found me yet. I also got an old Bailey No. 5 needing a touch of TLC. |

I received a phone call on the 24th from an 89 year old man that builds dulcimers . He called and thanked me for the wood that I have been sending his way . He doesn't get much luthier quality wood where he is at , but has quite a woodshop at his disposal . I ain't done yet . I have some eastern red cedar here that is not of sufficient size for guitars , but it sure should work for dulcimers . He , most recently , completed one with some of my ambrosia maple and just could not stop talking about it . He and his wife have been together for 68 years and when he was both thanking me for wood and at the same time complaining that I was making work for him at the farm show this year in October , his wife quickly added that he has plenty of time . They sure are a pair . Made my day . |

Filippo Morelli wrote: A week with Darrell Peart, whose work I'm fascinated with, but then whose methods in building furniture are not so much of interest to me. .... so that becomes a week somewhere with someone ... and it is likely related to guitars ... and I need to figure out what that might mean! Filippo Brian Galloup's Dynamic Voicing class? Got just a taste at ASIA, but seemed really interesting. |
