No, but I have a bunch from Akustik Wood which I like the looks of but haven't used yet. Akustik Wood was very good to deal with, and I think people have generally been happy with Octopus as well. These are good places to get cypress from. |

i have a set and it´s pretty nice, very stiff. pretty cheap too. and i agree with Jim, a good source for Mediterranean cypress. just don´t buy brazilian rosewood from them, it´s bolivian/pau ferro. best, Miguel. |

This outfit has proven reliable in several purchases: http://www.oldworldtonewood.com/ Caucasian, Carpathian. What does it matter as long as it starts with a "C." |

Thanks for clarifying. I was being maybe a little tongue-in-cheek. ![]() |

Not much of a sample, but I have a set of Caucasian spruce from Octopus, and it is evenly grained, seems light and stiff. |

Go for it .I have some local mulberry. The wood IMHO is unique. Golden yellow with some chatoyance..If exposed to sun , it turns a muddy mustardy colour.Once sanded it needs to be sealed asap. |

Hi, I have two sounboards of caucasion I bought at Octopus and they are really ok considering the low price. I've cut one of the sounboards in 2 to make 2 ukuleles that are in progress. And Mr Yeltekin from Octopus is very kind and usually answers pretty fast to emails. Hope this helps! Q. |
