I'm using a Devilbiss air pressure regulator right at the inlet of my HVLP gun. Fairly standard practice. It works fine most of the time, but won't work from time to time. I sprayed two coats this morning and adjusted the pressure before each without issue. When I came out to do the third, the regulator's readout was jacked up to 160, but hardly put out any air. Dialing it down sent the read-out to zero immediately, dialing it up added about 5psi to the read-out, but nothing higher. Does anyone know what might be going on? Pressure coming out of the compressor itself was fine. |

Did you check the air knob on your gun? |

I'm going to get a replacement. I took it out of the line and adjusted the pressure at the gun. Everything was fine. |
