Which is better for sound?Does poly finish make a big difference in sound?

So that .003 number is the thickness of typing paper, right?

Yes...I use yellow legal paper as a reference for .003" pretty much daily.

Todd, I have some automotive clear coat. Can I use it on my instruments as-is? I build acoustics.

could you incorporate your drying box into your dehumidifier circuit? Since you have to move the air anyway, you might as well de-gas at the same time.
