Yes, that is likely Honduran rosewood, and a very nice set at that |

I thought so but wasn't sure. I picked up 4 sets that he had cut and probably another 30-40 BF of 3/4 stock. Anyone ever use it for fretboards? |

Yep, I looked at the picture before reading and immediately though Honduran rosewood. Darker reddish brown is also a common look for it. Lucky you! My favorite back/side wood. And it is indeed great for fingerboards too. |

Yes, it was a good find but under sad circumstances. ![]() His wife was glad to see someone buy it who would build guitars with it. Hopefully the money will help her out as well. ![]() Thanks for everyone's input! T |
