Waddy,
I would think the bending form would work just as well with the addition of a heat blanket..............(though steaming does work, I did it way back in the 60's on my earliest guitars...)

Otherwise you could do up some clams and corn while you work!

Not a bad deal, but kind of sad that he didn't actually make his guitar. I bought a kit in 1976, and finished my guitar in 2012 (used the kit to practice).

I built my first classical based on that book though didn't use all the methods including the boiling trough. But I don't see a problem with it. I would think that if you are going to use a mold then keeping the bent wood in a mold while it out gasses is fine.

I do find it interesting that some one is selling this on the bay though. Is this a 'new' product or is this a hobbyist selling off some old stock?
