I haven’t been on the OLF for a quite a while but could use some assistance. My stressful job and my arthritis have kept me out of the garage for some time. My desire for building and my very few skills have waned to the point that I don’t have the same level of interest in building. idunno My emphasis was on ukuleles with a Spanish foot neck attachment and I will finish out my current builds (someday).

Is there an experienced builder of steel strings in Southern California that would be interested in a trade to attach a dovetail neck, fret and setup a steel string project that I need to be completed? I am willing to trade a set of Brazilian and a (1 1/8” x 3”) 10ft piece of Mahogany for the work. If you are interested please contact me to hash out the details.

Best Regards,

Philip

This is bad news. You need some time in the islands to recharge your batteries.
We're here for a good time, not a long time.

Bob,

I would love to get back to the islands! It would be my 25th or 26th trip and I miss my friends and the music. My job kept morphing and continued to get worse so I took advantage of a voluntary reduction and then retired. Much of my time now is spent at my vacation/retirement home in the lower gold country near Sonora, CA. I'm now trying to focus on my poker game because it keeps my mind active(what there is of it) and my body doesn't complain as much as when I when I'm standing working. Fortunately, I have had some success but stay within my bankroll. Bob, I have always appreciated your post both here on the OLF and in Ukulele forums.

Take Care,

Philip

I wish I can help... but I am on the other side of the ocean. I have the skill to help too.
