Casey - I love that! I was thinking of doing something similar on my current two builds, but out of wood. I'm using bolt on necks and was thinking of covering the bolt heads and holes with a thin piece of wood with my logo in it. The copper is fantastic! Did you do that or did you have that made somewhere?

+1 to that! You are certainly talented with your engraving. I've been thinking about cutting a sort of stamp out of steel that I could heat with a torch and burn a label into the end block. But first I have to design the darn thing. Why must design be so much harder than execution.

I made it. I wanted to incorporate some engraving on all of my guitars, but I like an understated presentation and will probably engrave the the tuners very rarely. Truss rod covers are another good opportunity, but I use a soundhole adjustment. The label made perfect sense to me. Each one will get the logo, but the serial number engraving and scrolls will be different for every guitar. It will be useful for personalizing commissions, too, if someone is foolish enough to hire me to build a guitar. ;)

Wow, that looks really stylish - love it. Do you do it with a dremel? Freehand?

Dennis, I really like those! Great style, as well as chops, and certainly outside the box! It's nice to see handmade instruments that look like a hand made them.

I have yet to design a label and appreciate the photos. Do you guys recommend a particular kind of paper to print these on?
Thanks.

You can get a sheet or two of archival or rag paper at the local Kinko's, Staples or other copy store. If you print with a laser printer it won't run like an inkjet will. You can use a lot of different glues to glue it on - dilute hide glue, a Knox Gelatin package in warm water, or a 50/50 Titebond and water mix. Brush it on the back of the label and stick it down - voila!
