Hey everyone,
A good friend of mine, Eli Bridges, and his crew are in desperate need of funds to help produce their play. I just got off the phone with him and, basically, having this kickstarter thing work is crucial to their production at this point. So, any contribution would be SUPER appreciated.

In effort to help him, I decided I'd come to you guys. They're so close, and it would be such a pity if they didnt make it. So here's what I'm doing for him. - Assuming they make their goal, I will give this Black Walnut back and side set that I just resawed to the member of this site who contributes the most to their project. The back will most likely need to be layed up in 3 pieces. (unless you choose to make a tiny instrument) I'll also include a couple more binding strips for the back seams, in case one breaks, or whatever other need.

Dimensions: Back- 20.25X6.25X.12
Sides - 30X4X.2
Binding - .25X.08

If you decide to contribute, just send me an email (nilsjohnson328@gmail.com) or pm and let me know that you contributed so I can find out who gets the wood. Also, keep in mind, this kickstarter ends tomorrow. So act fast if your interested! Thank you so much!

PS. The Black Walnut isnt really as red as it looks - it was just the camera.

I believe that the place to sell wood is in the classified area with the fee paid. Otherwise, you need to ask permission from Lance. We have paying sponsors on this site.

As one who would strongly, normally agree with Waddy on this issue, I'm not sure this is the same thing as a sale. The only thing I think that might be missing here is Lance's endorsement that this activity should go forward. Nils, there has been an interesting history with auctions here. I wish you the best of luck.

Plus, I'm not sure you framed this correctly. To me, this should be an auction for the wood. Your cause is (no offense) something I do not particularly care about. :) I think most folks would simply care to bid on something they could win. If they win, they pay. If not, they do not pay. Does that make sense? I get the impression that all bidders will pay, but only the highest bidder gets the wood.

Mike

I guess Im slightly near sighted.
But my thoughts were, if you throw in as little as you want, not having any idea what anyone else was doing....you could end up with the set. And last night was looking like it was gonna be a very close call.

Also, my friend plays one of my guitars, which doesn't matter to you guys, but is probably what made me think of doing this.
