If anyone has any leads on Clown Barf (Random-Multi color) Celluloid Nitrate for bindings,head veneers and pick guards please let me know. I have looked high and low on the internet and can't find any. I have found sources for Mother of Toilet Seat. Thanks, Brad |

Mario Proulx makes pickguard material from scratch and sells it through multiple outlets AFAIK. You might want to contact him and ask if he can meet your needs - I believe he can do any style/color on demand (but at a price, of course!). HTH, Dave F. |

Only kind of guitar I have ever seen it used on is a ladder braced Bourgeois. They may be able to point you in the right direction. |

Thanks for all the leads I am going to try some of them and see where I get. By the way I am starting an all black guitar with white pearloid (celluloid nitrate) for the head veneer,bindings and pickguard-I am really jazzed about it. Regards to all, Brad |

Our BeauGuard chemistry is the same as the Tortise varieties, we just use different colored pigments. Clown barf is actual flakes that are somehow bonded together (I assume in the back of a tiny car with lots of clowns in it). You might try some of the drum making companies, as they at least used to skin with all those sparkly things. Otherwise hunt down old timer electric guitar places like Real Guitars in SF, or maybe McCabes in LA can set you on the right track. |
