Post subject:  Weissenborn-Style Guitar Finished

I finished a Weissenborn Style Guitar over the weekend. It has Honduran Mahogany top, back and sides with a sugar maple fret board and bridge, curly maple binding on just the top. I used 1/8" steel rod for the saddle. Building this guitar gave me the opportunity to learn to french polish (steel wooled to a satin finish) and install binding for the first time. Both need improving. I made mistakes but know I will do better the next time. I'm pleased with the sound. It sounds good without finger picks, but much better with finger picks which is how I play. Also, It has good sustain.

Thanks to everyone who helped along the way, Todd Stock, Tony Francis, Dennis k, (Thanks for the binding tips), Ozziebluesman, Tony_in_NYC for offering to thickness the plates for me (good to know I had that option), and everyone else who helped. The photos aren't the best.

Hi Todd,
I used the Side profile dimensions you posted a few years back, and I pre-profiled the sides before bending. It worked out fine. I also followed your Weissenborn Style Peghead tutorial. Thanks for all your help!
