As many of you may have heard the little town of Goderich Ontario was hit with a strong tornado yesterday. My apartment and shop are in the hardest hit parts of town. Everyone we know is safe. It may be several days before we get any access to the apartment and shop to asses the damage.

Until further notice Canadian Luthier supply will be unable to take or process orders. We may have to find a new shop.

You can see some pics and videos on my facebook page. http://www.facebook.com/pages/House-Gui ... 6207269984

We will let you know once we are back up and running.

Josh

Glad to hear everyone is safe but so sorry to see all of the damage. We are still getting things repaired here from the storms in April but nothing in my area near as extensive as what you are dealing with. Best of luck to you as you dig out.

Josh - The front page of the paper this morning showed the devastation in the downtown area. My heart goes out to you and those who were injured and the person who lost their life. I hope that you can all get your live's back in some kind of order soon, and find some way to put this behind you.

Alex

Josh,

Glad to see that you are safe. Woke up this AM to hear the news about Goderich. I can't begin to imagine what it would be like having a tornado march through my street. I hope that you can return home soon and that your shop survived with relatively little damage.

Rick

I was thinking of you this morning when I saw the paper, I am glad you are OK and hope your shop and apartment damages are not too bad.

Good Luck
Fred

Hey Josh

Glad to hear you and yours are alright.

I was thinking of you too the minute I heard, knowing how close you were to where the tornado touched down.

Keep us posted on things.

Neil

Hi everyone,

Thanks for the concern. We found out last night that it will likely be some time before we are allowed back into the down town area to assess damage, let alone recover possession. There is not a lot we can do now but wait and talk to insurance companies. I won't be doing much shop work for a while, but that is ok. I'm going to try and keep my facebook page update so stop by there if you want to see how things progress.

I hope to be hanging around here again once things quite down a bit.

Josh

I can't believe the destruction Josh. My wife and I were just there 3 weeks ago for our yearly Celtic Collage and Festival fix. A beautiful town then and will be again. You’re a resourceful bunch.
Take care and thanks for keeping us posted.

Hey Josh!

As all others, I'm sure glad you are all right, but I also feel really bad for the trouble that lies ahead.

Good luck, and keep us informed.
