Doesn't anyone make 3-on-a-plate machines with nickel buttons for slotted peghead steel string guitars other than Kluson? I like the elegant look of the Waverly's, but they only come in Ivoroid, Snakewood and Ebony. The Klusons are a little too plain looking.

I don't know a source for fancier 3-on-a-plate tuners with nickel buttons; your wanting them makes you kind of unusual. Maybe you can put that to use. A lot of people prefer wood or plastic buttons to nickel-plated buttons, and pull the nickel plated buttons off (there's a tutorial by Chris Paulick on OLF on how to do this). If those folks are like most luthiers, they never threw those buttons away and could trade them to you for something you have in a box somewhere. What I'm suggesting is that you could obtain some nickel-plated tuners that suit your taste, except for the buttons, and then replace those buttons with nickel plated ones.
