thanks ! i dont have a good classical or a previous build to compare it, but the sound is decent i guess. not too colorful but clear and pretty loud. ill try to make a clip with a condenser mic in the next days. |

Very nice and thanks for the post. The wealth of South American woods is staggering and I always applaud any use for tone (rather than things like charcoal). I would love to go there myself and have studied a bit on efforts to train people in the Amazons to build guitars. ![]() |

Very nice Bruno! You have a good eye for detail and looks to be a clean build. I like the peghead. Where in Argentina do you live. I correspond with a fellow in Buenos Aires, and we may visit next year to look at a possible move to Argentina or Uruguay. Do you know if there are any other builders around you? Any steel string players? |

Clean build, looks great. Interesting wood/color choices, not traditional but if you want tradidtional you can buy plenty of factory made guitars that way. I had a customer one time want me to make him a standard rosewood/spruce guitar and I did it, but I still wonder why no one else seems to have as much of a taste for the exotic as me. Custom should look custom! lol |

thanks again for the warm welcome. I live in a small city in Cordoba province, so there are no builders that i know around here. most builders here are into electric and nylon stuff. i´ve seen some steel string on the web but not too often. i think is because our folk music and tango is based on the spanish guitar. for the next builds i have a cedar top and a german spruce awaiting, and ill have to focus on the presicion regarding the fingerboard and frets, which is where my guitar has some flaws. there are some Paulownia guitars that i found around on the web, but i coudnt find much details on thickness, bracing etc. since the wood is softer than red cedar and not having any experience on building i decided to play safe and left it maybe a bit too thick and oversized on the bracing. still im happy with it, and it served me as a big lesson for the next ones |

Thanks, Bruno! My ePal recommended Cordoba province and said that they were thinking of moving there. He is looking into mandolin playing and Choro... He did say that your traditional folk and Tango is alive and well whereas other South American countries such as Chile have all but lost their heritage. Welcome to the forum! |

What's the finish? the finish i wanted to use nitro but i had trouble on the setting and sanding of the coats, so i ended up taking all the nitro away and just used the laquer i use on furniture (im a carpenter) its called its called Ureica, its very much like poliuretane but it has a accelerant. then i polished it with the stuff the car painters use. (dont know the word for it) |
