I went to the liquor store here in new york , the person working there said she was fairly sure everclear could not be sold in new york state .Since I live within 45 miles of connecticut, pennsylvania , and new jersey , I was wondering if anyone from those states knew if its availability there , I would prefere to use it for my try at French polishing . thanks Jody |

Another source is Aaper Alcohol. Pure alcohol made for pharmaceutical purposes. I get mine from a local herbalist who uses it to make tinctures. He orders something like 20 gals at a time, and I get a gallon from him when I'm getting low. http://www.pharmcoaaper.com/ |

Thanks for the help everyone , Todd I see the medical grade alcohol is 200 proof , which the ever clear still has about 5% water , if I can find someone that has it locally , thanks Jody |
