As some of you know, I recently moved to Florida from CT and at the same time downsized my furniture/cabinetmaking shop to focus specifically on guitars. As for now, my shop is my garage, and I've been working away setting up to get ready to build. So I thought I'd share some photos and ideas...

First, here's a couple pics of the shop itself...

I made sure I had plenty of storage space...

Here's my festool CT-22 outfitted with a Dust Deputy - I've talked about this on several threads and really don't need anything else in this small shop for dust collection...

Here's my bandsaw...Delta 14" X5...the hat was extra..

I built this workbench - its rock solid and on wheels, so I can move it anywhere. Bench dogs up the end with a jorgensen bench vise - we used these a lot in the woodworking school I taught at in CT...

Here's my Gobar/router table...

The threaded rods screw into threaded inserts I put into the top of the router table. The table itself is an old prototype kitchen cabinet I made for a class I was teaching. Its on wheels as well, so it moves around as needed.

Remove the dish, and you can see the router lift...

So now all that's left to do is...start building!

Thanks for looking!

Looks great Mitch my friend and I like the go-bar deck/router table combo - very clever.

I also hope that you don't mind that I copied your picture of your dust Barney Fife/CT-22 combo because I want to put one of these together too.

Congrats on the new digs and new shop!!!! [:Y:] [clap] [clap] [clap] [clap]

Hi Mitch,
Your shop is looking great now buddy. Now, get that cherry OM going or are you
starting something else first ?
That workbench is very nice especially with the wheels to move it around!
Congrats on the new shop, up and running. [clap] [clap] [clap]

Nope, the cherry OM is first - and I'll soon be starting a maple 12-string for Mike, who you met here the other night...

I put the bridge plate on the top for the OM today...will finish bracing the top this week.

I'm storing the zoot in a closet just inside the garage door. The humidity stays consistent there and I an just work on the pieces and move them back when I'm finished. I have larger, raw pieces that I haven't processed into sets yet that live on the small lumber rack under the cabinets...
