I figured I'd try my hand at inlaying a face, again. Since its delivered already, I was hoping the resident experts could give me some feedback. The inlay is based on a compilation of pictures (and Led's signature) that was drawn by a friend. I hope this works: http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/ll290/kekani427/IMG_0047.jpg |

Thanks, guys. Much appreciated. I was wrestling with which materials to use, and, with my limited supply, ended up using Black MOP for most of the inlay (Led is Hawaiian and has a darker skin tone), because I thought white MOP would've been too light. |

That's very impressive! I'd be interested to see other inlay projects that you've done. |

Thanks for asking, and since you did, may as well throw in Led's Dad's guitar inlay further down the FB: http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/ll290/kekani427/IMG_0049.jpg And the first portrait: http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/ll290/kekani427/web/IMG_0291-1.jpg based on a picture from his website: http://www.ramoncamarillo.com/techniques.html |
