Here's one that went out a few weeks ago.
Just now got the pics back.
There isn't too much bling on this one, as we thought the woods were speaking pretty well for themselves.
Sitka top;
Indian Rosewood back/sides;
Kingwood bindings;
Ebony fretboard;
African Blackwood bridge;
Green ab. rosette:

What a guitar is supposed to look like. Excellent work all round.

The wood truly does speak for itself. It is simple, yet just flashy enough to really make the woods POP at you. Great job Steve.

Very nice! (an understated compliment to match the understated elegance of the guitar) That kingwood really looks great with the Indian rosewood and the white/black/white purfling line is purfect. the pics are pretty good as well.

Steve, the more guitars you build, the more British your becoming! Very elegant guitar with the obvious Kinnaird build quality.

Very nice. I really like the way the bindings/purflings go with the back and sides. Most excellent.

Many thanks, guys and gals!
As to becoming more British, I'm not too sure... The next guitar in line is way over the top, and sends me flying back to the Colonies I'm afraid. (It's got gobs-o-bling.)

Here's a shot of the rosette for ya Pat, and thanks for asking!

Very nice. I especially like the color in the top. Is that from the lighting, or did you tone it? It's very very nice.

Now that's the look I like!! Very tasteful. I might have used a smaller pickguard but that's splitting hairs. Thanks for the photos.

Lovely guitar once again, Steve! All the details and workmanship look to be top notch as usual. I'm not crazy about the pick guard to be honest; too large and BLACK for my taste. Other than that [:Y:]

Wow, a double dang from Don. Dang.
Arnt, Terry, I hear you about the pickguard.
This was the customer's request.
I'll be honest, I have a love/hate relationship w/ pickguards in general. I normally use clear, to let the wood show. However, I just hate putting those troublesome things on. The black guard (or tortoise) is sooooo much easier. However, you do have that blob of darkness on the top. Hmmmmm.
Well, this customer is a bang'em'hard'n'loud type player, so preservation is a real issue here.
Ah well.... dang.

James, I think it's the lighting as much as anything else in this shot.
It's a very spruce-like color in real life.

Thanks guys,

Steve

Dang...

Steve...this guitar just oozes class and beauty. Fantastic, clean lines, subtle appointments, it is very artistic in both looks and execution. I'm guessing it sounds and plays great too.

Again, many thanks guys!
Dave, I totally agree about EIR. It's just great stuff.
Perhaps to get customers to appreciate it more, we should level a hefty upcharge to build with it?

Don, what can I say? 3 dangs, 2 thumbs-up and 12 clappers? Whoa! Very kind of you. Yes, it sounded pretty nice when it left the shop, but I'd love to hear it now. You know how that goes.

Brad, thanks bud. Much appreciated.

AND, a special thanks to Dave Anderson is in order. The fact that you like that SJ shape means a lot to me.

Thanks for all the support fellas,

Steve
