Well, I'm somewhat amazed they came out as good as they did, but I love em both! Thanks to so many kind souls here for all your advice and assistance all along the way. I truly could not have gotten through this without you. I've been delaying putting these pics up in the hope of getting some better shots, but they'll have to do for now.

Here are The Sister OMs:

Very, very nice job and you should be very proud as well. I would give you 10 clapping hands emoticons but we no longer have a clapping hands emoticon until our hosts add one (which can be done here with this software). Great job!!!

Very nice job!

I can't give you clapping hands either, but we can hoist one in your honor!

The sisters look really nice, Ken. Any chance of seeing close ups of the inlayed headstocks?

Well done!! Nicely dressed OMs. I love the granadillo especially, the color is more rich than I thought just looking at the unfinished stuff.

They both look outstanding. Nice work. Do they sound different, or similar?

Thanks everyone for looking! I just noticed the "Img" button above, so I'm going to try using that for the following detail shots. The other way of attaching a file below limited me to three images per post, up to six, then cut me off... I guess it's because they're linked to larger images?...

So here goes:

Regarding differences in tone, I think what I'm hearing is that the granadillo/engelmann combo has a bit more low end growl, and interestingly, is also a bit brighter. Whereas the mahogany/sitka guit sounds a bit more midrangey, lacking some lower end. Of course, being smaller bodied guitars, they're not going to have the punch of a dread. They play beautifully, especially when fingerpicked or flatpicked as a solo instrument.

My ears aren't that great, so I'm going to record them both under the same conditions, and put up a link in another thread so you guys can tell me what you're hearing. Thanks again, y'all!

That is interesting. Sort of confirms the opinion that Sitka has a little more built in damping than some of the other spruces. I'm sure, though, that it has something to do with comparative bracing issues relative to the stiffness of the wood. Can't wait to hear the clips.
