I think I have 5 Ryobi trimmers and a couple of PC's. Among my favorite jigs is one that has a half inch wide flat bottom bit and a base that allows the bit to ride on top of the sound board and back and trim the purfling and binding flush with the top or back. Then just a stroke or two with the scrapper and that process is done.

John you don't have a link, or a photo of that do you? Sounds great.

I've got 4 plus a couple of dremels with bases on them that I use for pattern and lining notching use.
One of them is a colt with the tilt base. Great router. The 310 is a sturdy tool, but out dated imho.

Filippo, I now have seven Bosch Colts, in addition to two Ryobis (one of which is one of the originals with an aluminum housing, the other plastic), a PC310, two Bosch 2hp plunge routers and a PC 3 1/4hp in the routertable. I really like the Bosch. I really hate the 310. The 310 is great if you set it and leave it alone, but between its antiquated height adjustment which isn't exactly positive with the spring steel clip that holds the base to the housing while you make the adjustment, and more obnoxious, a collet that requires you to beat the @#$& out of it in order to release the bit.

The Bosch has a soft start, metal housing, a very functional height wheel, and a really easy base removal, and best of all A SELF RELEASING COLLET, just like on all their full figured routers. I just ordered a few more. I use the Colts for bindings/purflings, one for the endgraft, one for armrests, and I haven't decided what I'm going to use the spares for, but I'll figure it out.

My only beef with them is that Bosch had the bases cast instead of machined out of phenolic. They were not all flat. The collet adapter base is so warped that I'm having a machinist make me one.

Other than that they're fantastic.
