Thx for the kind words. There is no finish on the FB, it is sanded to 220 and wiped clean with a microfiber towel. You can see a bit of glue residue around the third fret marker, I'll worry about that after I glue it to the neck and do the final leveling. Tim

I used to hate drywall "mud" sanding too. then I remembered a little friend from my auto collision days and pulled him out of hibernation. With over 8 inches across it can straddle the joint seam and knock out nail/screw fills quickly. When I did the walls of my shop it was extremely fast. Getting ready to finish off more shop space so I'll be pulling the sander out again. Incidentally, in the collision world we called these sanders "mud hogs"

Glueing on the back plate on #6, my first commission. I guess I can quit my day job now eh?

Working on a parlour, Cedar on Tassie Blackwood. Currently reworking the rosette I used on the OM I built for the challenge last year. Couple more inner rings, and using plastic instead of timber purfling. I think it gives a cleaner finish. Also cream instead of white or maple.

Might call this one "The Atom."

You can see my little oops with the dremel, but not too bad.

ImageNothing guitar related for me, but I did finish the engraving on my dad's old Browning Hi Power. The grips were kind of tired, so I also made and checkered some new Cocobolo ones.

We came a very deserved second. Well played England. Can somebody please put a plug in Austin Healey's big mouth.

Guys that rugby game had to be more exciting than the over-hyped SuperBowl.
