Here are some new tuners from our friends StewMac. I have been waiting for these a long time. I have not tried them yet but I did get a look at them at Newport/Miami. I am hopeful and will give a full review after I have tried them. Anyone else have a chance to check them out yet?
They have them for both solid and slotted heads!!!

These 12 stringers will be perfect for your ledbelly ladder!

I've heard of them, but these are the first pics I've seen.

That is absolutely, freakin' awesome. This is seriously one of the best things I've seen come out in the last 10 years. It's about time. [clap] [clap] [clap] [clap] [clap] [clap] [clap]

I just put a set of these on a guitar I was repairing for a friend. A slotted 12 string.
I am bit disappointed!!!
The tuners are nice, but the specs on Stew Macs website don't match the tuners.
They state they are 0.922 between tuners. My set was 0.906. This made for a very creative install

I am a bit confused. I called Stew Mac about this problem and they checked their stock and the specs seem fine. My set was DEFINITELY off. I would think that these were manufactured as a batch and all would be the same

For someone who builds vintage style guitars or repairs vintage style guitars, it is "FREAKIN AWESOME!!!!!" sorry for yelling but this is something to shout about.

Andy, what's your impression of the fit and finish? Was there anything else other than the spec differences you had a problem with?

The fit and finish are fine. They are certainly not at the level of Waverly's but they are nice tuners.
The are the appropriate level of quality with the matching price.
For the guitar I was repairing, I had no other option other than to cut up individual tuners.

All in all, nice tuners

John,

I think you missed my post in the slot head thread.

If you are looking for Waverly quality, and old time look, you should check out these. They are about $100 per set.

I saw them but I have never seen them for sale. Where do you get them?
The Waves are not quite plain but definately better than the Squiggle ones, Thanks!!!
