So for some strange reason, I’ve always wanted to build and all Spruce Guitar so I got this one going basically on day four and it’s about done.

Sitka Spruce, top, back, (from Alaska, specialty woods,)sides, neck, head, veneer, and backstrap.
Birdseye maple fretboard, curly maple binding.
Gibson style compression rod

Martin 0 size 24-3/4 “scale

It’s definitely gonna be the lightest guitar I ever built – lol

I’m surprised you were able to bend the spruce…

It bent like silly putty at .100"... by hand on a propane fired pipe.

Interesting to me. Perhaps it bends well VG but not side grain…

Long ago when the forum started there was a member that went by the name “Allspruce” that use to make several models entirely from spruce.

That's pretty cool!

Don't wear a belt when you play it <G>

Pretty cool Brad. I built a 1-18 size from all pine 15 or 20 years ago from the Ted Davis plan on the GAL. Very light and still sounds great. Pine also bends very easily.

I finished it today… It was the fastest guitar I ever built 32 hours of work over seven day period..
It sounds incredible. I love it!got really nice Bass sweet trebles and the fact that it’s so light it’s really a pleasure to play. I did a video but I still do not know how to load one on this forum after 20 years – lol I have it on Instagram and Facebook if anyone wants to see it.

Brad,
What a stunning guitar, Would love to here how it sounds.

I have had this "thing" about white guitars for some time now.

A number of years ago I ran across this guitar call the Snow Parlor and was built by Doncho Ivano It is
made of Spruce and Maple.

Yours has a very similar look and I love it [clap]

Cheers,
Bob

WOW Brad, looks and sounds better than I expected. It appears to play very easily and has plenty of power across the board. Very cool!

That’s Awsome Brad. A driller [and glass blower on the side] was hereon the island last month on a State job and found me either the help of the crew with him to source wood for just this type of project.
But Pete has never built a guitar. But he’s doing it now and sent me pics. I just sent him your instagram post posted in this thread.
