When I use gloves (epoxy and finishing work) I use the thin blue nitrile gloves. No particular brand - they all seem to be about the same, and are cheap and disposable.

Kirkland Signature Nitrile exam gloves - 400 count from Costco. Cheap and effective.

Nitrile black or purple gloves - thicker than the blue gloves which tend to break easily.

I've been using the Harbor Freight gloves. They typically have coupons for $5.99. They work fine. One of the few things I don't mind buying at HF.

The thick black nitrile gloves are definitely better for working with strippers and other very nasty chemicals. The thin blue gloves are good where you need greater dexterity and are mostly trying to keep your hands clean. They are semi-single use - when they get too much crud on them they get tossed.

Don't know which brand of black nitrile was bad, because I threw them out. I use a lot of nitrile because my experience with rubber is that the rubber tears. BUT, one brand of black nitrile I got said no powder, but whatever the gloves were, they burned my hands rather excessively. Others do not, but the others I use are not black.

Using the blue nitrile from Costco right now. In the past, my wife has ordered them for me through the vet hospital she works at.

I also use the harbor freight variety. The 9mil black gloves are pretty durable but sill fairly inexpensive.
