Hey guys.
I want to use this template for my new neck, this one from an 80s Taylor, and I have a question.

As far as the depth goes... from the fingerboard surface to the back of the neck... do I use the template WITH the fingerboard thickness or is this meant to be used BEFORE the fingerboard is added into the equation?

The 1st fret reads .811.
The 10th is .850

Thanks folks. Hope you all had an awesome thanksgiving.

My money is on that is the total thickness.

That thickness would definitely include the fingerboard because it is quite thick. I make my necks a bit thinner.

Yes, it includes the fingerboard--I use the same style template.

When neck cross sections are shown on plans they almost always include the fretboard, but the joint is shown. They also show the fretboard radius (or the thickness in the center) which can make a big difference.

Yep. I've asked Tracy specifically. The thickness is the total thickness including fretboard.
