I remember this spring when I decided to put it together, it took me 2 days just to pound in the frets! I have to use albuterol nebulizers and inhalers that make you shake like crazy. Was mighty nerve wracking to try to coat the tangs with glue and get them into the slots. I quit after 4 hours the first day...
It had been so long since I had fretted an instrument that I grabbed my medium mandolin wire (.062") instead of the .080" and fretted it with that. Turned out OK anyway and I do prefer narrow wire.
Thank you all for the support and kind words. Means a lot to an old codger...

For sure that is a beautiful guitar Hans! I especially like the purfling/backstrap details.

Another beauty as usual Haans! There so much to soak up looking at that guitar. I love the ramps of your pyramid . Very sexy.

There's quite a few new people here. It would be great if you posted a few pics of some of your past work. Mandos for me! If you have any free time that is. :D

Cheers My Friend!

Danny, I've been thinking of resurrecting that F5C thread. I've found some of the photos out of the disorganized mess that I was left with after the photobucket debacle. I may try to fit the photos back in.
After that I suppose I could find a few memorable instruments to put up in a separate thread.
One thing I do have is a lot of time at this point...
