I have a friend who has 2 - 1" thick boards, approx. 20" wide and 8' long from The Tree. One of the boards is as good as it gets from end to end and the other is very good but without that entirely crisp, distinct cellular pattern that the Tree is known for.

He wants to sell it after cutting it up and having it resawn. The question is what size sets to make from these 2 boards: how many OM, OO, O sets to cut. My guess is that many more people would be interested in OM size sets than OO or O, but that's a guess.

Care to chime in?

Thanks,

Jim McCarthy

The best stuff from the Tree can go for $4000 a set. "Solid body love" would be quite expensive.

Wow. Will it be offered here? I'd like to vote for some small jumbo size.
