I am presently fascinated with this subject. My wife has agreed it's time for me to move out of the garage! Not that I'm living there...

There are four things that really matter to me. Climate control. Air quality (DC). Small office, wood storage area (drawings, etc). And a central low height bench. Center of work shop. I've seen and used these benches before. 8x8 area. Solid maple top. Storage drawers. Room to spread out and work.

Architect has me at 24x24 so far. Wish me luck! And good luck with urs.
