Thanks for even more nice comments!

I noticed a fairly high saddle. What's your cutoff for saddle height on a brand new build?
The saddle height is at the lower end of the range I use. It's about 12mm. I don't usually go higher than ~14mm.

How did you handle the mass of the sides to increase loudness?
It's got side masses in as per the book. Sorry if that sounds a bit cryptic (for those who haven't got the book), but it takes a long (and mathematical) explanation to detail what side mass does and why. But in a nutshell, side masses allow you to tune the T(1,1)2 resonance and increases the guitar's loudness, particularly at a distance.

Trevor, is it cheating to ask the approximate final dimensions of the braces*? :D
 Yes! I'm trying to persuade you guys to get into this sort of design work yourselves! :D

If you halve both of those numbers you'd be a LOT closer. Have a look at the drawings of the falcate braced guitar and the lattice braced guitar in the envelope in the back of the Build book. That should get you started. Then Section 4.4 of Design for the proverbial chapter and verse on brace design (wood and composite).

Got it, I wasn't taking the balsa into account! Darn, I thought I was over estimating a bit, annoying to be that far out! I've been reading 4.4 over and over again for the last... erm... 5 hours! Edit: not the whole chapter, my mistake! Only one small part of that 4.4! Can't read the whole chapter over and over in 5 hours!!!!!

Thanks!

Lovely guitar bliss

And a great example of how the concepts laid out in your book can be used
to design a guitar to meet specific design goals.

Such a beautiful guitar!!!! And the best part of it is knowing the beauty runs much deeper than what you see.

Trevor, is there any advantage of KBP for the lattice over spruce?

Stunning guitar, would love to see a video.

The KB is less dense, less stiff, which means the braces are physically larger than spruce ones would be, which gives a bit more tolerance when lining everything up, especially the CF underlays and overlays. Done in spruce the bracing would have been tiny. They're pretty small as it is.

Thanks! You do some pretty hot work yourself!

The owner took the guitar to a festival in Hawaii and got a few recordings of him and others playing it there. He's promised to edit these down and pass them on to me, but this hasn't happened yet.

LOL. I love the binding, but then again I like Mexican guitars with acres of MOP, so perhaps I don't have taste. laughing6-hehe
