Sorry, I was typing while you were posting. I'm planning to Tru-Oil the top too. The only problem so far is that it doesn't dry on EIR. Turns to goo unless it's well sealed.

Delivered the replacement 12-string neck (for a 60's Univox) yesterday - owner seemed to be real happy. Spent some time measuring and photographing the braces out of a '49 Gibson J45 for a luthier in Colorado. Not too hard to do since every brace in the guitar was loose or already out except for the popsicle brace (they're all out now).

The only 7 string shredder I know plays a matte black guitar with blood spray finish and skulls painted on it :p
