Just about to carve the neck for a cittern ( by accident, should have been an octave mandola- see mandolin thread).
Looking for suitable machine heads, Grover seem to do a small one but I can't find alternatives. It looks as though I'll have to buy 2 sets of six and not use 2 of them unless I can buy single heads.
Anyone any thoughts or experiences of this?

If you buy a left and right set of six on a side Kluson deluxe style tuners you can have the compact spacing a 12 string uses. You do end up with two extra tuners. I have also cut down 6 on a plate twelve string tuners and reshaped the cut end for aesthetics.
