I am doing some inlay. Part of the inlay will be in maple and the other in ebony. I usually use epoxy and black pigment for the ebony inlay, but I would like to match the fill/glue to the maple instead of using just black. Any suggestions as to what to add to my epoxy to match the maple as perfectly as possible?

Chris-
Are you inlaying maple into ebony, or maple AND ebony into some other wood?
If the latter, what's the 'receiving' wood?

Getting epoxy (or most anything) to match a really light wood is pretty tricky. Pretty much any wood dust (wood flour) will dry darker than most maple, even if your epoxy is colorless. You could play around with microballoons or other white filler to get more 'white' into your epoxy mix.

Cheers
John

I am inlaying a into maple (and ebony). But the ebony isn't the issue. That one's easy.
