Hey does anyone know where I can find KTM-like waterborne laquers in Ontario or do you have to order from Stew-Mac or LMI?

Thanks

I buy Target WB products from "woodessence" out west. They have a warehouse location in Oakville where you can pick up your order.

KTM products are available directly from Grafted Coatings. I found USPS to be the most economical cross-border shipper. UPS in particular charges a ridiculous brokerage fee.

KTM ~ like stuff eh?

You mean like an acrylic waterborn poly or lacquer plastic like stuff right?

well Home Hardware sells three different acrylic waterborn stuffs, but the real quick and dirty cheap stuff comes from the Uncle Wally store ~ about $16 qt CDN, which is what I mostly use.

In fact, virtually all the splash stores carry some sort of water born goop to spray, brush, roll or dipp yer wood into.

Now if your builds are selling for Huge Mega bucks well then I hear KTM to be the real gooder stuff.

Cloverdale Paint's can get Target products in too. The closest would be in Manitoba. Shipping should be a little bit less than from BC. Google's your friend.

Either that of make good friends with someone on the other side of the border and have them ship to you.

I decided to go with the good folks over at Wood Essence, ordered it yesterday and got an email last night telling me that they dropped the shipping a little for me and its being sent today and will arrive tomorrow. The end is in sight on my first, its such a good feeling
