As I mentioned in my previous thread, I've never built a Classical but find myself lately really wanting to!
Hate to be a cliché, but I love the sound of a lot of the Hauser examples I've heard. Even a few guitars that are based on the Hauser (usually the '37 "model) sound quite good.
I have an ok idea of the wood selection up until a point....
For instance, I don't know what is the typical wood to use for braces on a "Hauser build". Was it Spruce? If so, what kind? Same goes for the other stuff in the box.... linings, blocks, etc.... I recall some other old makers using basswood for at least one of those mentioned. Can somebody tell me the "standard" woods used on this type of Classical? A little bit silly, I know. But I'm crazy for small trivial matters!
