OK, this is new terrain for me. I have seen Robbie Obrien's drill bit idea. And I like it. but you still have to make the template. So, how do you make an accurate template for something like this? What tools will you employ? Hand built? I have seen that jig, but its too expensive for me.

So, that Lexan jig is made kind of like Haan's peghead technique? In pieces?

OK. Thanks.

I have been studying this on and off all day as I have been fitting the neck joint. One thing I noticed is that the string hole in the slot tuners may not be centered in the slot (if I follow the plans exactly). Should the string hole be centered in the slot? Sorry, new to slots.

Also, in Todd's last picture, did you cut the square holes in the templates by hand?

Anybody have info on locating the string hole in the peg? Should it be centered in the slot?
