I just graduated from the roberto venn school of luthiery and I'm wondering what the best source is for buying cured wood. Is LMI wood worth the price? I don't have enough money or brain capacity to sit around and wait a few years for wood to cure before i start building on my own.

I believe most of our sponsors are selling wood that is close enough ready to use that all you should have to do is let it acclimate to your shop environment for a few weeks or so.

What Waddy said.. If you look at the top of the page you will see OLF sponsors that all sell wood that is ready or close enough to ready that you won't have to wait several years before getting started.

Our sponsors and an internet search renders many good suppliers, LMI probably have the best range of different woods and all are good sets, but if you want something specific (with regards to best figure, color e.t.c) for that 'special' job, there are a number of sites that show photo's of each individual set so you know exactly what wood you're getting when ordering.
Bob at RC Tonewoods (one of our sponsors above) is an excellent example of this and has some really nice woods to choose from.Not saying that LMI's wood isn't good, but you do end up with whatever the person picking your order packs for you (you don't get to choose).
As Waddy quite rightly points out, any wood you buy should sit in your 'environment' for at least a month (two or more would be better if you aren't in a rush) before working it to allow it to stabilize to it's surroundings.
