I've only hung out here for a short time, maybe this is old news. When fitting a piece for repair and the color doesn't match here is an unlimited supply of permanent ink. I have had this set for retouching prints and negatives (remember them) for 25 years and haven't used a notable amount of dye. Marshall made these dyes to last forever. I hope this helps some of you and you can still find a dye set. Mine was marked $29 from 25 years ago

I've still got an old set of those also, never thought about using them on guitars.
Good thing I never throw anything away!
