Cumpiano says slots are 5/8" wide, Bogdanovich says 1/2" What say you? And how long are your slots? Thank

Rich, 5/8" x 4 1/8" (before string ramp) works fine for me.

5/8" x 100mm before ramping.
I've measured 100's of classicals and this is pretty much the standard.
I've seen 3/4" wide ones.
