Hi guys. I just wanted to say thanks for the advice i've gleaned from these forums. I've been building for about a year now and the information around here has been invaluable. I'm still learning things with every build, and i love it!

Here's a pic of my latest build:

You can check out more pictures, as well as my other builds, at http://www.jugtones.com.

Peace,
-Scott

That is pretty sweet.... and I really like the Fingerboard contrast against the Pot....
It just gives it that special "Something"....

Now, you just gotta add some Canarywood or Yellowheart inlay around the rim of the bowl....

Good luck

John

I hope your creation isn’t panned by the critics around here.
I’m sure we could get into a pissing match about using alternate building materials, but I actually threw my own first build into the crapper, and was glad to see it dumped.

When I saw the name Jug Tones, I had something else in mind, but that works! That is a nicely enhanced piece of, well, "relief"! [clap] [clap] [clap] [clap] [clap]

LOL that is way too cool! you are a genius ! nice work and good for a laugh too! my only question is how does it sound ? it reminds me of my friends in the bluegrass band , they liked to do their share of partying and traveled alot to gigs , so to cut down on the pit stops, inside their van they had taken a 2 liter soda bottle, inverted it , cut the bottom off it , making a sort of funnel, and mounted it to the wall of the van with hose clamps , then had clear tubing, attached to the "spout " of the bottle running down the sidewall of the van to a small exit hole drilled in the floor . so when one of them had to relieve himself , it made a quick exit outside the van to the highway.....I just always wondered what some of the conversations sounded like in the vehicles behind them... " honey is it raining out "? .. well theres not a cloud in the sky, but my windsheild is getting wet... imagine that ? must be some sort of miracle .... " ! LOl Jody

I am not sure aboutthe color though , I think a "warmer" tone would be more suitable ! jody

Jody, it sounds really good when plugged in. Even though there is a sound chamber there really isn't anything to resonate the sound... so it isn't very loud at all when played acoustically. But plugged in, it has a nice warm acoustic sound. I intend to put a sound video up soon... with a surprise celebrity appearance!

Funny story about your band friends!

-Scott
