If any of you are headed to Kalamazoo for the Coopers Glen Festival tomorrow I could really use one of those static stick removable pick guards!

Let me know if any one has an extra they'd be willin to sell ;)

Thanks!

I've used plain old sheet vinyl (available by the foot at many hardware stores) and put it on just like a wet application of the mylar kind...a little water (soap optional) and squeeze out the bubbles. Sticks great and is is almost as invisble as mylar. For the cost of one pre-made, you get a lifetime supply.

I think it's the same material as the pre-made ones and I have never had any issue with reactivity to finishes but I can't say that with certainty so use at your own risk.

Unfortunately I doubt you'd be able to get it before the show, but StringsByMail.com (office/warehouse on Liberty Street in Ann Arbor) stocks a good amount of Kling On pickguard material. If you can keep the picks off the surface through the weekend, that would be an quick place to get it after the weekend.

See you in the morning.
