Here's another aluminum one I saw at the MIMF a couple of years ago. http://www.mimf.com/library/eldredge_evil_paul.htm

There are so many ways to finish aluminum I'm suprised more people haven't experimented with it.

Plating and powdercoating are just the start. Some of the annodizing companies do some absolutely insane work. If you can paint it they can probably do it in anno and it's more durable than any finish you'll ever apply.

I knew I recognized his name

PK Selective developed some really cool different anno designs back when custom anno for paintball guns was just starting to get popular.. People used to pay 750+ for him to do a "thunderstuck" anno (looked like lightning on a blotchy blue/darkblue/black "acidwashed" background) Thats actually the only reason I know anything about anno ;) Big paintball fan. You combine artistic anno guys like that along with CNC milling and CNC Laser etching.. Very very cool things can be done ;)

I'd like to hear one. If you put a block of mahagony through the body I don't think it would sound all that much different on an electric. You might be able to mix it to where you want it. Kinda depends what sound you're after doesn't it? You don't want a OOO for flat picking bluegrass either.
