What's recommended to clean up epoxy off a finished instrument? I'm obviously going to try my best to not get the stuff where I don't want it, but best to check just incase!
I'm worried that most of the solvents that will touch the epoxy will also have a good go at the finish.

Assuming you are talking about wet epoxy, I use mineral spirits, but naphtha will also work fine without affecting finish.

I dont know how it reacts with finish...but WD 40 is good for removing wet epoxy. Really gets it off your fingers and tools.

Yeah I'm talking about wet epoxy :)
Thanks for the replies chaps!

WD40 is not a go-er though. Never get that stuff on unfinished wood

Do NOT use WD40 for this on anything you later want finish to adhere to. WD40 is a silicone oil and silicone is anathema to just about every finish medium I can think of.

Alcohol cleans up epoxy resin well. Use neat ethanol, methylated sprit or IMS. Isopropyl alcohol (isopropanol, propan-2-ol) doesn't work so well and is best avoided.
