Guys,

I'm in Malone, 1 hour North of Lake placid, on the Canadian Border. now THAT is upstate!
Albany is approx. 3 hours + South.
So where is a "central" location now for all you "Southerners"? :D

probably the albany schnectady area would be central , might get some of those new englanders to come along ( trying to spell that with the proper accent ), my fishing trip I believe is the week of nov 13 , the weekend before that would be difficult , the weekend after the 13th would be impossible for me .... thanks Jody

Paul -you are up-upstate!!!!!!
I bet we'd all love to visit your place!!!!!!

It's looking like it'll take awhile to set a meeting up!
Travel time & a big enough meeting place is the most prevelant problem!

Mike

I am in Halifax, MA, about 40 minutes South of Boston. I would love to come if we could set up a meet place within 90 minutes or so of driving time. Maybe I could get others from NE to share a ride!

Hey, I thought we were talking New York, not New England! pfft Just kidding... western Mass is getting a little far for me, but I'd make every effort to be there nonetheless.

Wow. I have not visited here for a while and sorry I missed this thread when it started.

It looks like this thread has died... gaah

As a "wanna build one too - someday!" I'd be interested in dropping in if for no other reason than to get my blood going.
If it's just too late, can we plan something for next year?

I live in South Hadley, MA - a neighbor to Louis it appears - still about an hour from the NY border.

Thanks for chiming in Rob and welcome to the forum! Your welcome to swing by my place if you want. Drop me a PM or email off my profile page.

I'm game to host something at my place in Belchertown MA. My shop is not that big (crammed 2car garage) but I do have a big kitchen and living room.

Demo's could be done - turning pins, basic machine shop stuff, tool and fixture making etc.....

Lets talk.

Louis

I'm still trying to find a suitable location!
we need a big space from the responces I've seen!

But if this post helps others to get together because their close to each other & didn't know it ;then that's fantastic also!
It's just great to get together with other makers !

take care
mike
