Hesh mentioned something yesterday about getting his deck up off the floor. I thought I'd show what I did a couple of days ago. It's not pretty as it was made entirely of scraps, but it's not bad and it will work great.

Looks Great Ron,

It will allow you to wheel the whole operation out of your way not in use, very clever.

As a side bonus, if the guitar thing should get a little tired, you can quickly and easily convert it to a hot-dog or lemonade stand

Great setup Ron. I really like the storage area for your side bender and dishes. It has gotten me thinking, that one cabinet is actually a complete bending, glueing, and sanding station. Now thats what I call efficient use of available space. Don A39083.7439236111

Very nice design. I've been thinking about something similar, except my go-bar deck is a little shorter than yours, and I'm going to sandwich my DeWalt planer in between the storage below and go-bar deck above. I may have to go to horizontal dish storage to keep the height reasonable, so I think I'll have to put the bender on top. Glad I saw yours to help me envision what mine will look like.

Hesh, the bottom is 3/4" plywood sandwiched between 3/4" MDF. There is no finish on it.

The threaded rod is in electric conduit. Those T-nuts will work well. I didn't have any, so mine is fastend with regular nuts, countersunk into the outermost layer of MDF. I also countersunk the conduit about 3/4" into the top and bottom of the deck. Very sturdy. I left the all thread long on top because I wasn't sure how much room I needed to work in there. It's set at 23 1/2" high now and that works great for me. It would be simple to raiset the roof if needed, though.

Love your go bar deck Ron, very clever and i especially love your side storage for the rods, i think i'll copy that!

Thought i'd show off mine if you don't mind Ron, i store my dishes on the bottom shelf and the glues and hot pot plus the food warmer tray on the top one...



When not in use, i use the top deck to store some clamps too but will definitely build me a special rack for those in the future!
